Have a conversation with a Deaf person in ASL
They say you can't really learn a language without using it with a native speaker (or in this case, signer). I don't personally know any Deaf people, though. I am signed up for a 'coffee night' with a local ASL club, which includes some Deaf members and a lot of students. BUT, I haven't gone. There are no Deaf ASL teachers at my community college, either. So an important goal for me in the near future is to meet and hold an ASL conversation with a Deaf person.
